Market Monitoring FAQ
Organizations should report all customers, amount of sales in megawatt hours and the amount of billed revenues for the applicable quarter.

No. The online market monitoring application currently does not offer this feature.
It is possible that your account has not been attached to an organization. Send an email to CARD@puco.ohio.gov stating the issue or call the PUCO’s Administration Division at (614) 466-4095.
The new person would need to send an email to CARD@puco.ohio.gov with pertinent contact information (i.e. name, title, mailing address, email address). Both parties will receive an email when the changes are complete.
To obtain access to the online market monitoring application, send the following information to CARD@puco.ohio.gov:
- PUCO certificate number: (##-###E)
- Legal name
- DBA (if applicable)
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email address

You must have a PUCO services account and permission to access the online market monitoring application. Possessing an account to file information on DIS does not automatically grant you access to the online market monitoring application. You must send your information to CARD@puco.ohio.gov to be granted access.
When a user account is registered for access to PUCO services, several emails may be sent from this address.
For new users, an email containing their login credentials (username and password).
All users will receive an email announcing their access to the market monitoring application.
Users can reset their password by correctly answering their security question or via a link sent to the email address associated with their account.
To reset your password using your security question, click the forgot password link, enter the user name or email address associated with your account and click the continue button. Click reset password with security question and answer and enter the new password, as well as the answer to your security question, then click the change button.
To reset your password using the email link click the forgot password link on the login screen. Enter the user name or email address associated with your account and click the continue button. Click the request a password reset email link and then click the send email button. Log in to the email address associated with your account and click the link to change your password. You will be redirected to the reset password page. Enter your username and new password, then click the reset button. Upon successful password reset, you will be redirected to the account management homepage.
Registered users can update their email address, change their user name, change their password and update their security question and answer in account management.

All modifications to an organization’s certificate must be requested through a material change in the organization’s docket. For more information on how to change your certificate information, please contact the PUCO Administration Division at (614) 466-4095.
Yes, Ohio Administrative Code sections 4901:1-25-02(A)(2) and (3) require the amount of sales reported to the Commission to be reported in megawatt hours, and separated by customer class and service territory. For additional information, please refer to the Commission’s Online Market Monitoring Application User Manual. If you are a broker that does not take title to the energy, you should not be reporting sales.
