PUCO Nominating Council to meet January 25

COLUMBUS, OHIO (Jan. 18, 2018) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) Nominating Council will meet on Jan. 25, 2018, to interview applicants for the position of commissioner of the PUCO to fill one vacancy. The position of commissioner is for the term beginning April 11, 2018 and ending on April 10, 2023. The meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m. in Hearing Room 11-B at the PUCO offices, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus.

The agenda for the Nominating Council meeting is as follows:

8:45 a.m.       Meeting called to order by Mike Koren
                       Opening remarks by Chairman Asim Z. Haque
                       Oath of office
                       Ratification of Jan. 26, 2017 minutes

Upon the conclusion of the opening public session, the Nominating Council will convene an executive session pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code to interview the following candidates.

The Nominating Council will reconvene its public session at 12:15 p.m. and select four candidates to submit to Gov. John R. Kasich for his consideration.

The public session will be webcast live on the PUCO website.
