COLUMBUS, OHIO (July 23, 2012) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) will conduct the third in an ongoing series of workshops designed to help industrial boiler operators learn how combined heat and power (CHP) can help them meet changing USEPA Clean Air Act regulations. The “CHP Financial Tools Workshop” will focus on the various financing options available to organizations interested in CHP development.
The workshop is scheduled for August 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the offices of the PUCO at 180 East Broad Street, 11th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215. A vendor expo will begin at 9 a.m. Individuals interested in attending the workshop can register online at www.PUCO.ohio.gov. The workshop will also be webcast live.
The PUCO will host a fourth CHP workshop focusing on stand-by power issues on September 13, 2012. This workshop will explore barriers to entry for CHP facilities posed by stand-by power rates and provide a forum for potential regulatory and market solutions.
