PUCO sets local hearings on FirstEnergy electric security plan

COLUMBUS, OHIO (May 9, 2012) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today scheduled local public hearings to provide consumers an opportunity to express their views on FirstEnergy’s electric security plan.

The local public hearings are scheduled as follows:

• Akron
  June 4, 2012 at 6 p.m.
  Oliver R. Ocasek Government Center
  161 South High Street
• Toledo
  June 7, 2012 at 6 p.m.
  Michael V. Disalle Government Center
  County Commissioners Hearing Room, 1^st Floor
  640 Jackson Street

• Cleveland
  June 12, 2012 at 6 p.m.
  Cleveland City Hall
  Council Chambers, Room 216
  601 Lakeside Avenue

FirstEnergy filed an ESP application and accompanying stipulation with the PUCO on April 13, 2012. FirstEnergy and the other signatory parties to the stipulation propose a plan for the supply and pricing of electric generation service through May 31, 2016.
