PUCO Nominating Council to meet May 16
COLUMBUS, OHIO (May 13, 2013) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) Nominating Council will meet on May 16, 2013 to interview applicants for the position of commissioner to fill one vacancy. The position of commissioner is for the unexpired term commencing upon appointment by the governor and ending on April 10, 2016. The meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m. in Hearing Room 11-B at the PUCO offices, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus.

Upon the conclusion of the opening public session, the Nominating Council will convene an executive session pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code to interview the following candidates.

9:55 a.m. Daniel F. Shields, Westerville
10:15 a.m. Sandra Williams, Cleveland

The Nominating Council will reconvene its public session at 11:55 a.m. and select four candidates to submit to Gov. John Kasich for his consideration to fill the vacated commissioner term. The Ohio Senate must confirm the governor’s appointment.
