The Ohio Motor Carrier Information System (OMCIS) is the home to regulatory information for motor carriers in the State of Ohio. Using this system, you can find information about the motor carrier industry as a whole or view specific details about a single company. Motor carriers will soon be able to utilize additional features.

Commercial transportation companies in Ohio are public utilities under the jurisdiction of the PUCO. The PUCO registers motor carriers and ensures they adhere to state and federal safety standards.

The PUCO Motor Carrier Safety Rules Handbook is a guide to the PUCO and U.S. Department of Transportation regulations applicable to motor carriers operating in Ohio. It is not a substitute for the regulations, nor is it intended to explain the requirements in depth.
