Employment Application Procedures
Applicants may apply for a vacancy by completing an original or photocopy of the Ohio Civil Services application form (Form GEN-4268) for each position to:
Applications may be completed and transmitted online, or you can print off a manual application form for you to mail in, fax or e-mail. For a manual application insure you provide the following information in the boxes at the top of the form:
- POSITION NUMBER
An application completed and transmitted online will populate this information automatically.
An applicant must clearly demonstrate on the application that he/she meets the minimum qualifications stated in the job opportunity in order to receive further consideration for the position. Avoid assumptions and jargon.
For manual applications, sign and date the CERTIFICATION section at the end.
Notarization of the application is NOT necessary.
Applications and/or resumes’ must be received or postmarked by the closing date/time listed on the job opportunity. For online applications, resumes’ may be cut & pasted into the application.
