COLUMBUS, OH (Dec. 2, 2016) — Today Public Utilities Commission of Ohio Commissioner M. Howard Petricoff issued the following statement:
"I am grateful for the governor's trust and out of respect for that trust I see no value in subjecting his appointment of me, nor the good efforts of the Nominating Council, to an unfortunate outcome. Therefore, I have chosen to step down. Chairman Haque and my commission colleagues, as well as the commission staff, are dedicated public servants who have my deepest respect and admiration. I wish them all the best in their future work on behalf of Ohioans."
