Intrastate Licensing and Insurance Search
To verify an intrastate carrier is registered with PUCO and has the appropriate insurance please follow the instructions below.
- Select one of the fields below (PUCO Number, Federal Tax Identification Number, US DOT Number, Carrier Name or DBA) and enter appropriate information to search for.
- Click on the Submit button.
- A list of carriers will appear.
- If the carrier you are checking is found in the list, that carrier is properly registered.
- If the carrier your are checking is not found on the list, it is advised you perform the check again using another piece of information (i.e. Carrier Name, US DOT Number, Federal Tax ID, etc.).
- If performing a check utilizing other pieces of information still does not yield a positive match, that carrier is likely not properly registered.
- If a driver produces proper authority but a match in the system does not occur, contact the PUCO Motor Carrier Division at (614) 466-3392 to run a more detailed check.
- If a detailed check continues to reveal a problem with their registration, the carrier is not properly registered.
