Public Utilities Commission Pending changes for Residential Credit, Disconnect & PIPP Rules in Chapters 4901:1-17 and 4901:1-18

Delayed changes to Chapters 4901:1-17 and 4901:1-18 for PIPP Programs

In Case No. 08-723-AU-ORD, the Commission adopted changes to the Residential Credit and Disconnect Rules in Chapters4901:1-17 and 4901:1-18 of the Ohio Administrative Code, as well as changes to accomodate modifications to the natural gas Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) programs. In the Commission's June 3, 2009 entry in that case, the Commission directed that, in light of the extensive revisions made to the gas PIPP program, the changes to these chapters will not become effective until November 1, 2010, in order to allow the gas utility companies sufficient time to modify their billing systems, and to allow community action agencies to train their employees and educate the public on the new gas PIPP program.
