PUCO schedules public hearings on proposed Verizon-Frontier merger

COLUMBUS, OHIO (August 24, 2009) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) has scheduled three local public hearings to provide telephone customers of Verizon North an opportunity to express their views regarding the company’s application to transfer ownership to Frontier Communications Corporation.

The hearings are scheduled for:

Sept. 8, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.
Salvation Army Building
809 Emmet Ave, N.W.
New Philadelphia

Sept. 9, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.
Marion City Hall, City Council Chambers
233 West Center Street
Marion

Sept. 10, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.
Scioto County Welcome Center
342 Second Street
Portsmouth
