On April 6, 2009, AT&T Ohio, the Monroe County coordinating telephone company, filed the final plan for the implementation of 9-1-1 service in Monroe County. Under the 9-1-1 plan, Verizon, AT&T Ohio and Windstream will provide the county with 9-1-1 emergency telephone service.
