Public Utilities Commission Services and Resources for Business Utility Customers

Services and Resources for Business Utility Customers

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) can help resolve issues between business customers and utility companies under PUCO jurisdiction. The PUCO call center can mediate customer complaints, enforce regulatory rules, and resolve service quality issues for business utility customers.

If you have a problem with your utility service, first contact the company. If the company is unable to resolve the problem, call the PUCO toll free at (800) 686-PUCO (7826), and our call center staff will work to mediate the dispute between you and the utility company. You can also file a complaint online.

Other services provided by the PUCO:

  • Payment options
  • Explanation of the rules and regulation governing utility companies
  • Information on how to participate in PUCO public hearings
  • Energy conservation tips
  • Speakers for business organization meetings and conferences

For information about scheduling a speaker or to request copies of publications, contact the Office of Public Affairs at (614) 466-7750.

At the Ohio Business Energy Resource Center, you will find information on the following topics:

  • State energy efficiency and conservation programs
  • State energy resources
  • Federal energy resources
  • Advanced and renewable fuel technologies
  • Contact information for federal and state agencies with business energy resources

For more information about federal and state resources for business utility and energy needs, visit the Ohio Business Energy Resource Center.
